Review Of The Samsung Galaxy i7500 Cell Phone

thumbnail
With the Galaxy, Samsung has finally joined the league of  Android phones. The Galaxy comes in with a brilliant feature set and is being offered by O2 in the U.K. Anyways lets go ahead with the review see if this could truly survive in the android game. This one truly fits into the sleek phone category at a thickness of  11.9mm thick and it is quite light at 116g and easily fits in the pocket. The screen of this one is around 3.2-inch and it supports the OLED technology. Thanks to the OLED technology the display of this looks absolutely stupendous with bright and vibrant images. This one could definitely remind a few of the Samsung Jet with its kind of similar layout on the back.  Below the screen we have the search button and the home key which is conveniently placed between the terminate and the back buttons. However most of the space below the screen is eaten up by the OK button, which in all honesty doesn’t require that much of footage plus the home button could have surely  [...]

Review Of The HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless

thumbnail
When handed over with the HP Officejet Pro 8500, my first reaction was ‘ well, that one looks pretty impressive’ and then looking at the price tag all I had to say was ‘ $280, now that’s asking for too much’ but sometime with it and trust me this one is worth all the moolah being paid for it. This one surely has some meaty aesthetics at 19.45 inches wide by 18.86 inches deep and 13.03 inches tall. This huge bulk can be hugely attributed to the features that it brings along with it which include an autoduplexer, 50-sheet automatic document feeder, and legal-size scanner bay. Coming to the looks of this one… it’s got a glossy black cockpit which blends in really well with the matte white and gray panels. Right in the centre is the 3.45 inch LCD toouchscreen display. Well many may argue that the ones by competitors like Brother have larger display but with this one HP proves that bigger isn’t always better. The display of this one though smaller is comparatively more  [...]

Review Of The MSI U210 Laptop

thumbnail
The quality of the speakers isn’t all that impressive but then again it’s quite typical for a laptop of this size. The sound quality of the videos on Youtube and Hulu was quite inaudible; however when we played movies and already downloaded songs the sound quality was decent enough. It comes loaded with a 5 mp webcam and the video recorder is a VGA one and it’s probably the best we ve seen till date. The videos were smooth and there was no display of motion blur most of the times. Also the ArcSoft WebCam Companion 3 software which we had seen in the previous versions is also highly improved. Technically speaking this one is a lot more than a netbook if we consider the 1.6-GHz AMD Athlon Neo CPU, 2GB of RAM and all thanks to the configurations this one fared above the category average in our overall system performance tests. This one comes along with a lot of trial software which is to be blamed for the 75 seconds that this one took to boot the Vista. However on the brighter  [...]

Review Of The Samsung Intensity SCH-U450 Cell Phone

thumbnail
This one has got a 1000 entry phonebook with room for around five phone numbers, two email addresses, a street address and notes. The contacts can also be saved in the phonebook with a caller Ring tune and caller picture ID. There are a few basic features in it which include the speakerphone, vibrate mode, calculator, calendar, a stopwatch, a notepad and a world clock. Being a messaging phone, obviously this one supports text and multimedia messaging. its got a threaded messaging feature as well which makes viewing the messages as conversations even more easier. The intensity supports e-mail via mobile email and mobile web email. Using mobile email all your mails are directly delivered to your inbox and the mobile web email delivers email through the regular browser. This one comes loaded with an inbuilt music player which supports Verizon’s  V chat music with Rhapsody service. But here again since the Intensity doesn’t support the high EV-DO purchasing and downloading of  [...]

Review Of The Nokia 7705 Twist Cell Phone

thumbnail
Its got a 1000 entry phonebook and each entry can store around five numbers and two email addresses. This one has a unique feature called ‘habitat’ mode and after picking up one of the display themes ‘urban’ or ‘jungle’, your callers will be given a avatar. Click on each avatar to see a list of messages and calls between you and that contact. The basic features that this one includes are the vibrate mode, calculator, alarm clock, a notepad, a unit and currency developer, speaker-independent voice dialing, Bluetooth, PC syncing, USB mass storage, text-to-speech, and support for VZ Navigator. Its got a 3 megaixel camera which supports clicking photos in almost five resolutions.  It supports flash as well. However the photo quality is not all that great for a 3 megapixel camera. The photos are quite blurred and dull. The photos can be stored in the inbuilt 119MB or by extending the memory using the Micro SD slot. It also supports a XHTML browser,  [...]

Be Fit, The ‘Fitbit’ Way

thumbnail
For all the uninitiated ones, a brief introduction to the Fitbit. Basically the Fitbit is a device which clips onto the users clothing and tracks the user’s movements, sleep and calorie burn throughout the day and in the night. It gathers all the information about the user’s movement and provides the user with a detailed report of the calories burnt. Its got an internal motion detector which helps to track how many hours the user has slept and if it is enough and other information like that. By pressing a small button on the device, the LED display will alternate between showing how many steps you’ve taken, the calories you’ve burned, your distance, and also gives you a gauge of how high your activity level is. And it’s got a flower which grows as you exercise more. ( yeah, they have other icons as well). Now moving towards the territory no one has ventured in before…since the device is wireless it automatically gets synced to the computer and then the web  [...]

thumbnail
Nearly a year after the launch of the stupendous X200, Lenovo has hit back with the launch of the same X200 with a multi touch screen. It has taken the best in the category business convertible to an entirely new level. This one from Lenovo is small and lightweight. At  11.6 x 10.1 x 1.3 inches this one is quite sleek and can fit into any carry bag or pouch easily. This one according to Lenovo weighs somewhere around 3.5 pounds and if it’s the 8 cell battery package this one could weigh approximately 4.2 pounds. Similar in design to the other Thinkpads, this one has a matte black chassis, red trackkpoint on the keyboard and green indicator lights. Above the keyboard they are buttons for the muting and volume control of the audio along with the ThinkVantage button which helps in launching Lenovo’s management utilities. Review Of The Motorola Debut i865 Cell Phone

thumbnail
iDen phones are known for being bulky and most of the times they are either in the clamshell form or the candy bar form factor. However with this one Motorola has attempted to change the trend and has moved towards the slider form factor. This one is being offered by Boost mobile and is available for $170 without the contract. Anyways let’s move ahead and see what this Moto child has to offer. This one sort of reminded me of the Moto Rizr , maybe its just because of the slider form factor. Anyways this one measures a decent  4.19 inches long by 2.0 inches wide by 0.59 inch thick and is pretty much sleek. At 2.99 ounces this one aint even all that clunky. Its thin enough to fit into the front or back pocket. Its got a 2.2 inch display which supports around 65,536 colors and has a 176x220 pixel resolution. This isn’t surprising because most of the slider phones don’t offer much in terms of resolution. Because of this the images appear to be a bit blocky and unattractive. Below  [...]
