Pink Phone: So Much For The Hype

thumbnail
So finally the long kept secret of Miscrosoft’s  Pink Phone has finally been unraveled. And by the looks of it this one surely doesn’t deserve all the hype being created around it. These phones have been codenamed ‘turtle’ and ‘pure’. But frankly I guess ‘chubby’ or ‘tubby’ would have been better names. The first one i.e the Turtle resembles the Palm Pre to some extent. It comes loaded with a slide out keyboard and a nice vibrant looking screen. The other one i.e. Pure will remind of possibly every other smartphone available in the market these days. Reportedly both the phones have been targeted towards the youth. Well, by the looks of it this one doesn’t look even a bit of the iPhone killer it was being touted to be. And anyways it doesn’t  look like Microsoft really cares about being the iPhone’s challenger. So any kind of clash between the Pink phones and the iPhone looks unlikely in the near future atleast. PEACE!

Review Of The Yukyung Viliv X70EX Laptop

thumbnail
This one is yet another addition to ultraportable computing devices. I personally am a huge fan of these devices but what is to be seen in this case is whether this one would find universal appeal especially at a time when there is absolutely no dearth of smartphones and netbooks. Before the launch of the iPhones and the other in the category the UPMC’s were like the hottest thing available in the market. However the only drawback was that at that time these UPMC’s were priced anything between $1500-$2000. This one launched by Viliv has a starting price of $587. But then we get netbooks priced at around $350 so here again its universal appeal is questioned. Anyways let’s move ahead and see what this one has in store for us... This one is definitely a smasher when it comes to looks. It’s covered with gunmetal gray plastic and is accented with silver and chrome touches. It’s got a rectangular shape and with curved edges. The buttons are well spaced and are comfortable to  [...]

The latest Android phone by High Tech Computers will soon be offered by Vodafone. The phone will be released by the carrier in U.K somewhere in October and will be available on pre-order. Looks like the budget android war is heating up with the T-mobile PULSE also being recently announced. The HTC tattoo is the first customizable Android phone, which means that the user can design the skin for his phone. Now that’s innovation I say. Also this one comes loaded with 2.8 inch touchscreen display, FM radio, audio jack, 3.2 megapixel camera and not to forget the brilliant Sense UI. It also supports 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This one will surely keep you entertained wherever you are. Using this free software one can easily tag their favourite Leaning tower of Pisa pictures because this software can easily integrate Google maps into it. This software does not make use of anything use but just builds upon the basic functionality og the previous version. However it is photo tagging feature which is the highlight of this version. Now the question that arises what is the benefit of this kind of photo tagging. Using name tags one can easily organize the photos according to the names of the people who are present in the photos. Once the tagging is done the user can easily use the tag to get a collection of all the photos in which the tagged individual is present. Its not that Sony hasn’t come up with eye catching headphones before, but this one totally leads the league. Well in the recent times most of the headphones that have been launched have the same old drab look. And that just adds to the appeal of these ones Launched by Sony. Review Of The LG GW520 Cell Phone

thumbnail
This one from LG is definitely an enhanced version of the KS360 and by the looks of it, this one too looks like its going to be another smash. Also this one isn’t heavy on the pocket and one can obtain it for Free with £150 auto cashback from Mobiles.co.uk (Blue); or £129 on PAYG from Orange or £146.75 from Dialaphone (Black).Anyways let’s go ahead with the review and see if this one is worth all the talk... This one is less of a smartphone and more of an QWERTY packing cookie oozing out loads of attitude. This ones got a neat elegant look with silver side trims. The keys also follow the minimalistic design.  This one isn’t all that sleek at 107x53x16mm and weighs around 125g which makes it a bit clunky. It’s got a 2.8inch resistive touchscreen without a stylus and below the screen there are three buttons. The talk and end button and a shortcut button which also doubles up as a task manager. All the buttons are covered with rubberized plastic which provide a nice grip.  [...]

Gamers : The Invasion Is Coming

thumbnail
Alienware has come up with something it refers to as the Invasion and according to them this one is going to ‘shake the gaming world to its foundations’. Well as far as advertising is concerned this Dell owned company has achieved really new heights and has left the gamers salivating over thoughts of the first 3D-tech enabled laptop with a 120Hz screen. This one would be launched at the Tokyo game show. An official from Dell claimed on the company’s Facebook page that Alienware will surely invade the Tokyo Game show this year. Even our attempts to contact Dell turned out to be futile with Dell taking the ‘no comments’ stance.

We here at techsoft are waiting with bated breath to see what exactly is in store and we ll keep you posted on the latest developments on this front.
