Case-Mate iPhone 3G And 3GS Fuel

thumbnail
Imagine... you have an urgent meeting to attend but are stuck in the traffic and you iPhone conks off because of low battery. Well I guess most of us are quite familiar with this kind of a helpless scenario. And now for all those people who ve been harrowed with such experiences and for the few who want to avoid such situations totally the Case-Mate brings in some much needed relief. You can charge your iPhone while on the move using this snug charger. This one has a soft pleasant plasticky feel too it which doesn’t make it feel cheap or tacky in anyway. It’s basically combines the conventional holster along with a chargeable battery. This one measures 4.4 x 2.0 x 0.5 and slides in with much ease into the pocket. Also it could be easily hooked onto the belt with the help of a 180 degree rotating swivel ratchet. It weighs around 3.2 ounces making it a bit clunky and along with the iPhone it weighs around 7.9 ounces. That’s pretty much bulky, but then that’s just some price you  [...]

Review Of The MSI X600 Laptop

thumbnail
It comes equipped with a 1.3 megapixel webcam which offers a decent image quality even when the light is not that bright. The images are not grainy and also there is hardly any display of noise except for at the edges. Coming to the video quality I guess this is probably the last one I would want to go to when I want to watch a video. The video streaming quality is poor and filled with lots of noise. The speakers are also not worth the talk, I barely understand why the ones which are in built in this  one are even called as speakers because I literally had to take my ears near the notebook to actually understand what is being played. This one comes along with Intel’s Ultra-Low Voltage processor which for all I know has been invented only to save on the space and some power. So I did not like really except much as far as the speed is concerned but even then this one left me hugely disappointed. Putting it through the PCMark Vantage test this one got a terribly low score of 1,850 when the category average is atleast 3,138. Also it took almost 1 minute and 10 seconds to boot Windows Vista which is quite less. However, it could perform routine tasks like web browsing, document processing etc. with a decent speed.

Coming to the battery this one lasted for around 4 hours and 11 minutes even after continous browsing using Wi-Fi. Though this one is quite average but still the company promises to come up with a 9-cell battery in the near future as an added accessory. Also though this one has a ultra-low voltage processor it is hardly any efficient than any of the other notebooks. I could barely see any power being saved considering the fact that it took almost 3 hours and 13 mins to get totally recharged. I must say that this is quite ‘hot’ a notebook, quite literally actually. This one gets heated up pretty soon especially the touchpad though it wont set your fingers or your lap ablaze or anything of that sort, this one definitely is not a pleasant experience atleast as far as the heat is concerned. Nitty-Gritty: Well you could go for this one if your looking forward to splurge on something which is sleek, neat and lightweight and doesn’t have much to offer in terms of efficiency. Go ahead pick it up if all that matters to you is the portability.

Review Of The LG BL40 Chocolate Cell Phone

thumbnail
The latest one from LG under the Black line collection is definitely a show stealer to say the least. No surprise for guessing that this one again is aimed at the Fashionista out there. But along with the high glam quotient comes a highly irresistible feature set. Basically this one is for the user who loves to admire the looks of the phone than probably using it much. It could be called the pioneer in the world of cinematic screens. It comes loaded with a full 21:9 screen which is definitely a plus point for all the people who love to watch their movies on the move. It’s got a vibrant red metal and black look to it, which by far is my favourite combination. I mean who wouldn’t love a red and a black combination?? Anyways on the top of the chassis is a 3.5 jack for the headphone along with the lock/power key. The right side houses a wave like volume rocker along stylistic camera key. What’s  [...]

Review Of The LG GD910 Watch Phone

thumbnail
Finally the much awaited watchphone from LG has seen the light of the day. Though it was expected that this one would cost around 500 euros, this one has been launched for a lesser price than what was being assumed. Well, I am pretty excited to review this one just for the fact that it is loaded with a touchscreen, Bluetooth and yeah not to forget a camera too. What waits to be seen is whether this one is just a imposture or if it truly stands true to the claims that it is making. Anyways I guess by the end of this review the answer to this one would be crystal clear… so moving ahead... This one is quite a sleek one, considering all the features that it encapsulates this one for sure is worth all the talk. Its got a leather strap which has to be strapped around the wrist using a clamp in kind of a fit. The major drawback with this one is that the clamp keeps on getting loose again and again  [...]

Review Of The Verizon Wireless Escapade

thumbnail
The Escapade comes along with a 500-entry phonebook. Each entry can store upto 5 numbers, two email addresses an IM screen name and a street address. The other key features offered by the Escapade are multimedia messaging, speakerphone, calculator, calendar, world clock, notepad, unit converter and a stopwatch. Apart from the basic features this one also offers Bluetooth, instant messenger, a web browser and GPS for the advanced users. The GPS service is supported by services like Chaperone and VZ navigator. Coming to the cult feature of the Escapade i.e. dual mode CDMA/ GSM compatibility. When  you are in the  country you can use the Verizon wireless service, and when you are out of the country you could use the preloaded SIM card with any GSM carrier. It comes loaded with a 2 megapixel camera which lets you click pictures in four resolutions 1,600x1,200, 1,280x960, 640x480, 320x240. The images were much to my surprise pretty much vibrant and animated. The image quality was  [...]

Nokia 2680 Cell Phone Review

thumbnail
It has space for almost 1000 phonebook entries with around 5 entries for each phonebook entry including job title, email address, birthday etc. This one offers mobile emails, and instant messaging such as Yahoo, Hotmail etc. but then again because of its small screen using the email facility doesn’t provide you with much of a pleasant experience. It also includes a few useful organization features like the  calendar, to-do-list, calculator, alarm  clock etc… in spite of the small screen this one again comes with a WAP browser. I guess this was done to just make it look more than a simple phone. But trust me, this one is just a basic phone. Coming to the multimedia features, this one offers a VGA camera along with 4 x zoom and it has added some video recording capabilities to it too. But then it shouldn’t be surprising when I say that the picture quality wasn’t that great. Infact,  I don’t I should even be talking much about it  because this is just a secondary phone to  [...]

T-Mobile And Orange To Join Hands Together

thumbnail
Expect T-mobile to come up with surprises like this. Apparently its planning to start a joint venture with Orange U.K and is in talks with France telecom the parent company of Orange U.K. But the buzz doing the rounds is that even telecom majors like Telefonica which is parent company of the O2 and Vodafone are trying their hands out on this one. Now that sounds like there are three competitors putting their best foot forward to collaborate with T-mobile. Some insiders suggest that the market price of T-mobile is about 4 billion euros but the network is worth a whooping 6 billion euros as far as value creation is concerned and again it would just be around 5 billion euros to France telecom. Going towards market leadership…this inevitable takeover by T-mobile would add an extra of around 15 percent to any network in the U.K. At the moment O2 currently has a 25 percent share and Vodafone and Orange have a market share of 25 percent and 22 percent respectively.

Review Of The Guitar Hero 5 Xbox 360

thumbnail
This one is something which I guess everyone who played the world tour was surely looking out for. Whenever there is a new addition to an existing game, what is expected most of the time are certain improvements to the existing game. Being a gamer this was exactly what I expected, not a total overhaul but just a few improvements here and there or probably just some clearing of the mess that was created in the last game. And if you are amongst the ones who were looking out for then u surely wont be let down by this new edition. I won’t say that GH has totally revamped the music-game genre but it has for sure tried to fill in the existing patches with a few tweaks here and there. Anyways coming back to the game, starting off with the game software and the on-disc catalogue. The on-disc song catalogue exactly won’t set your toes tapping but its quite a balanced collection. There are a few songs which aren’t surely  [...]

Review Of The Samsung N310 Netbook

thumbnail
Most of  the netbooks making their presence felt nowadays essentially have the same configuration. Get together an Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and a copy of Windows XP and voila what do I have… another netbook. With this latest one, Samsung hasn’t done any better than just combining the recipe for the same old cake and just topping it all up with some quality icing. Well, leaving aside the superfluous metaphors I ll proceed with the review. Razzle-dazzle: Okay, I really have to give this one to Sammy… they ve come up with some killer looks for this child of theirs and I d bet on anything to say that this is the best looking netbook in the market. Though a few might argue that the pebble look that this one sports makes it look a bit like its not for professional use or possibly even a bit like a toy. But then again having such a fun piece with vibrant colours could just make your dull and boring day at work a bit more animated. Yeah  [...]

Review Of The Nokia 7610 Supernova Cell Phone

thumbnail
It’s got an inbuilt memory of 64MB, however it can be expanded to upto 2GB using a micro SD card. The phonebook can be used for 1000 entries with each entry saving upto five numbers, email address, URL, company name and job title, a nickname, street name and birthday. It comes loaded with a 3.2 megapixel camera which can take pictures in six resolutions ranging from 2,048x1,536 pixels down to 160x120 pixels. I was pretty much impressed by the quality of the photos. Not only were they vibrant and bright but also they hardly displayed any noise expect for some amount of negligible noise around the edges. After you are done with taking the photos you could directly store them in the 64MB inbuilt storage or probably get yourself a new 2GB Micro SD card. Coming to the music players, this one  is definitely the show stealer with a quality similar to the one offered by the Xpress music range, it definitely should score high on any music lovers list. It supports creating your playlists  [...]
