Review Of Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds Headphones – Good Quality And Cheap Price

thumbnail
Skullcandy is not a new name in the head phone market they have been around for a while and are making good sets of earphones. The head phones as mentioned earlier come in variety of colors and there are indeed lots of colors to choose from. The cables are covered with cloth so you don’t need to fear that they will suffer from wear and tear as times passes by. We are used to using headphones which have plastic exteriors and we have suffered a lot using them. Headphones of products such as iPod touch wound around the device when they are not in use. This reduces the life of the wire and there have been complaints that the wire tears on the end of the plug which goes into the iPod. Not only this, when the wire is wound around the iPod touch, the wire gets stretched and hence sometimes one ear piece stops functioning or the sound quality of the head phone drops. You won’t face any problems with these sets though as they are cloth covered and give you no problems when you stretch  [...]

HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web Printer Review

thumbnail
Touch screen printers are rare and not many manufactures make it mainly because people don’t need a touch screen interface for a printer since it is not used as often as a phone or MP3 player. The other reason is that a touch screen interface increases the price of the printer and hence manufacturers are coy over making touch screen MFDs. HP and Lexmark are the two big players in the touch screen printer market and we got a HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web in our offices for review. Now as the name suggests, this is a premium printer and not for light use. The printer can be connected wirelessly to internet and you can surf the web on the tiny LCD which is on the printer and print documents through them. The LCD on the printer looks quite similar to iPhone kept in landscape mode. But it is a little smaller than 4.5. The LCD looks very cute with an arm from the printer holding out the device.  [...]

Sony VAIO VGN-NW270F/S Laptop Review

thumbnail
Let’s get straight down to the main attraction point of this laptop, the inclusion of Blu-Ray drive. Yes! This computer has one, so you can watch HD content on this computer. We watched a few blu ray movies on this computer and the display was quite crisp. But a bigger screen would have done more justice to the clear video quality. The screen of the computer is 15.5 big which means this is a portable laptop. The screen gives you a native resolution of 1,366X768 pixels, gives 16:9 aspect ratio, which makes it good for 720p HD video. The display is not a full HD one, which will disappoint movie bluffs. Also the resolution is quite good and tiling two windows one next to the other won’t be a problem and there will be plenty of work space for you. Below the display is the keyboard, now Sony doesn’t go with what other notebook players do in the market, Sony has its own unique keyboard and we say it rocks! The keys are not close to each other but there is adequate space in between  [...]

Review Of LG 22LH20 Television

thumbnail
LG 22LH20 is an attempt by LG to make a LCD panel for people who are on stiff budgets. You can use it for watching TV or you can pair it up with a computer to watch HD movies. But watching HD movies on this screen isn’t that great because it doesn’t support full HD. The maximum resolution that you get is 1366X768 which is 720p. We were happy with the LG’s remote control, it seemed better than remote controls of other LCDs that we have tested. On some the buttons were cramped.  But you won’t have much to complain about the structure of this remote control. There is no dedicated aspect ratio button on the handset which was a disappointment. The menu key is placed and the lower left of the big cursor control which is bad ergonomics. There is an energy saving button and it is highlighted by the ‘e’ letter and picture of a leaf. The button is green in color which pretty much gives you the idea. The buttons are great to touch and you get a feel of a click when you press them.  [...]

Review Of Asus Essentio CM5570-AP003 Desktop

thumbnail
Asus Essentio CM5570-AP003 isn’t among the best desktops that we have received in the test center. In fact it is the same CM5570-AP006 but it has inferior hard ware, which means it is a stripped down version of Asus’ previous product. The computer is fast and you won’t have any problems running high end applications that are speed crazy. The processor used is Intel Pentium E5300 / 2.6 GHz, a Quad Core processor. It has L2 cache with 2 MB for each processor and the processor has data bus speed for 800 MHz. The desktop is good for high end applications but cannot take gamming because it doesn’t have a discrete graphic card. Intel GMA X4500 is what you get on the motherboard which is integrated graphics and the size is 1759 MB. If you want to play games on this computer you can always add a graphic card as this mother board gives you an empty 16x PCI Express graphics card slot. Along with this there are  [...]

Averatec All-In-One D1130 Desktop

thumbnail
We had got Acer Aspire Revo net top for review before this and there are lots of similarity between the two when it comes to hardware. This means that the Averatec All-In-One D1130 is not meant for your gadget freak but for the basic user who needs the computer just for typing on a word processor or internet activities like web surfing and email. The computer has 1.6 GHZ Atom processor which is pretty slow. We don’t know why such slow processors are still manufactured. They cannot take the power hungry soft wares that are manufactured these days, let alone high end games. The display is the prettiest part of the device and the 18.4 inch display will give you a resolution of 1600X900 which is a little less than what a display of this size is capable of. Averatec's display of 18.4-inch is capable of 1,680x945 resolution. The display is good, we played a couple of DVDs on this device and really enjoyed watching on the display. The sound quality is good but it is really low and  [...]

Acer Aspire Revo AR1600-U910H Review

thumbnail
We aren’t much of net top fans and we think for a little more money put in you can easily buy a desk top computer for basic functions. Perhaps the only down side is that desktop computer takes a bit more space but then you get so much more functions. You don’t buy these gadgets more than once or twice so if you are buying it; why not get a good one? The hard ware of the computer is low end and seriously outdated. Intel Atom N230 / 1.6 GHz processor will save a lot of power but it is not fast. We doubt if this processor can even take multi tasking. Today’s soft wares need lot of speed and this processor will come down to its heels if you try running high-end soft wares on such computers. You will need about 13 minutes to convert audio CD files into MP3; this can be achieved in 2.5 minutes in a faster computer. 1 GB DDR2 SD RAM is put in to provide juice to the Windows XP and it runs quite smoothly. Plus there  [...]

Review Of Dell Inspiron i545s-1476N Desktop

thumbnail
The case of the PC is stylishly slim and will fit almost anywhere in your room. The mouse, the cabinet and the keyboard are all black. We had reviewed HP Pavilion Slimline s5220y and both fall in the same category budget wise. Both have the same hardware and both are entry level PCs. Don’t expect this configuration to handle HD content and run high end games. There is nothing in this computer that will make a gadget freak’s hair stand on its end. The processor is totally outdated, it is a 2.6GHz Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5300 and it might get down to its heels if you run fast applications or high end games. The latter will simply refuse to run on this system which has an integrated graphic card. The presence of slower processor can be made up by the four GB DDR2 RAM. The frequency is 800 MHz compared to the 667 MHz that HP had. Dell Inspiron i545s-1476N and HP Pavilion Slimline s5220y lock horns with each other as the two computers have  [...]

Dell Studio XPS 8000 Desktop Review

thumbnail
This computer is not for your average user. This is a gaming beast! Yes!  A big hard disk, a great graphics card and a fast processor all under one roof! We had HP-Pavilion-Slimline-s5220y for review before this and we couldn’t stop staring at the slim cabinet. This one doesn’t have a slim cabinet but the performance will surely make you drool. However, the cabinet is smaller than the XPS 9000 series of desktops Inside the box there 1 TB hard drive for you to store all your games on the laptop. The graphics card included is also a fast one - nVidia GeForce GTX260 1792MB GDDR3, this card is certain to take the most demanding games and you can play games with all advanced settings unleashed. The 2.66 GHz Quad Core and 8 GB DDR3 RAM will make sure your games don’t stutter and experience is smooth. Dell has taken all the efforts it can from their end to make this the best gaming desktop and they haven’t cared a bit to keep the price low. End result is indeed a good gaming  [...]

Sony Vaio L117FX Desktop Review

thumbnail
Sony Vaio L117FX is made to compete with Apple iMac 27 inch (which we had reviewed earlier) but there are loads of differences between the two models. You can mount the monitor of the Sony Vaio L117FX on the wall, the screen is touch screen interface (multi touch) so you don’t need much of keyboard and mouse to use it. We were happy with the display of the monitor it had full HD resolution of 1920X1080. Playing games on this screen is pure joy. Also you can watch HD movies on this screen, thanks to the built in Blu-ray player. This is something that this computer has an edge over Apple iMac 27 inch. Apple’s product had a huge 27 inch screen but it didn’t have a Blu-ray burner. Sony Vaio L117FX is smaller in size but the 1920X1080 resolution exploits the capabilities to HD content to the fullest. You won’t have much of space problems storing your movies on this computer due to the huge 1 terabyte hard disk on board. There is a picture in picture feature in Sony Vaio L117FX  [...]
