Acer Aspire Revo AR1600-U910H Review

thumbnail
We aren’t much of net top fans and we think for a little more money put in you can easily buy a desk top computer for basic functions. Perhaps the only down side is that desktop computer takes a bit more space but then you get so much more functions. You don’t buy these gadgets more than once or twice so if you are buying it; why not get a good one? The hard ware of the computer is low end and seriously outdated. Intel Atom N230 / 1.6 GHz processor will save a lot of power but it is not fast. We doubt if this processor can even take multi tasking. Today’s soft wares need lot of speed and this processor will come down to its heels if you try running high-end soft wares on such computers. You will need about 13 minutes to convert audio CD files into MP3; this can be achieved in 2.5 minutes in a faster computer. 1 GB DDR2 SD RAM is put in to provide juice to the Windows XP and it runs quite smoothly. Plus there  [...]

Review Of Dell Inspiron i545s-1476N Desktop

thumbnail
The case of the PC is stylishly slim and will fit almost anywhere in your room. The mouse, the cabinet and the keyboard are all black. We had reviewed HP Pavilion Slimline s5220y and both fall in the same category budget wise. Both have the same hardware and both are entry level PCs. Don’t expect this configuration to handle HD content and run high end games. There is nothing in this computer that will make a gadget freak’s hair stand on its end. The processor is totally outdated, it is a 2.6GHz Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5300 and it might get down to its heels if you run fast applications or high end games. The latter will simply refuse to run on this system which has an integrated graphic card. The presence of slower processor can be made up by the four GB DDR2 RAM. The frequency is 800 MHz compared to the 667 MHz that HP had. Dell Inspiron i545s-1476N and HP Pavilion Slimline s5220y lock horns with each other as the two computers have  [...]

Dell Studio XPS 8000 Desktop Review

thumbnail
This computer is not for your average user. This is a gaming beast! Yes!  A big hard disk, a great graphics card and a fast processor all under one roof! We had HP-Pavilion-Slimline-s5220y for review before this and we couldn’t stop staring at the slim cabinet. This one doesn’t have a slim cabinet but the performance will surely make you drool. However, the cabinet is smaller than the XPS 9000 series of desktops Inside the box there 1 TB hard drive for you to store all your games on the laptop. The graphics card included is also a fast one - nVidia GeForce GTX260 1792MB GDDR3, this card is certain to take the most demanding games and you can play games with all advanced settings unleashed. The 2.66 GHz Quad Core and 8 GB DDR3 RAM will make sure your games don’t stutter and experience is smooth. Dell has taken all the efforts it can from their end to make this the best gaming desktop and they haven’t cared a bit to keep the price low. End result is indeed a good gaming  [...]

Sony Vaio L117FX Desktop Review

thumbnail
Sony Vaio L117FX is made to compete with Apple iMac 27 inch (which we had reviewed earlier) but there are loads of differences between the two models. You can mount the monitor of the Sony Vaio L117FX on the wall, the screen is touch screen interface (multi touch) so you don’t need much of keyboard and mouse to use it. We were happy with the display of the monitor it had full HD resolution of 1920X1080. Playing games on this screen is pure joy. Also you can watch HD movies on this screen, thanks to the built in Blu-ray player. This is something that this computer has an edge over Apple iMac 27 inch. Apple’s product had a huge 27 inch screen but it didn’t have a Blu-ray burner. Sony Vaio L117FX is smaller in size but the 1920X1080 resolution exploits the capabilities to HD content to the fullest. You won’t have much of space problems storing your movies on this computer due to the huge 1 terabyte hard disk on board. There is a picture in picture feature in Sony Vaio L117FX  [...]

Review Of Apple iMac

thumbnail
The Apple iMac 27 inch is a great looking computer and we couldn’t get enough of staring at it. It sports the thin look that Apple products have been known to have. This is the first time that a 27-inch screen has been used in a computer. Windows has never used this and 24 inch is the closest that Apple has got and that was the company’s earlier model. So let’s talk more about the screen. This 27 inch beast supports 2,560x1,440 pixels. Watching movies and playing games are absolute pleasure on this baby. Also this screen is an IPS (In-line plane switching) which is superior to other TN panels that are mostly used. TN panels have one drawback that the whites do not appear that bright and the darks are so dark that it can’t be seen, all you see is a big black patch. This is clear when you watch movies or play games. Since this is a IPS panel you won’t face this problem. A larger resolution also gives you more space to work within the screen. The 27 inch monitor will easily  [...]

Review Of Asus Eee Top ET2002 Desktop

thumbnail
The system runs on a Windows Vista Premium Home edition, even after the Windows & has been introduced into the market. There are no major technological highlights in this system; rather it is a slow, outpaced system that needs a revival other than the inclusion of just the dedicated graphics card that NVIDIA provided. The 20 inch TFT screen would’ve been attractive had it had a touchscreen. The system has not played on its strengths as a small compact nettop, thus it is lagging behind the competition and hasn’t been able to create any waves in the market. Nitty Gritty: The Eee Top Et2002 is a donkey in a horse derby. It is seriously lagging behind by a mile. Asus may have to change the strategies if it has to ensure that its range of Eee Tops and eee Pc systems enjoy a certain rate of success. As of now, there is sadly nothing to recommend about this system, rather  [...]

Review Of Gateway One ZX6810-01 Desktop

thumbnail
This pioneering Windows 7 user computer is a good one that is first going to attract you with its striking looks. It has 23-inch touch-screen and a good assembly of components which are going to impress you in no time. The framework is really well designed. However, the touch screen is a bit sluggish in responding to your commands. This interface requires a revamp with a whole lot of all-in-one features which are expected to hit the markets soon. If you are on  the lookout of a big screened computer with good hardware performance,  this is the computer for you but if it is touchscreen response agility that you want, you’d better go for another model or just wait for some stuff that is coming up for the Windows 7. Well, the design, though better than the earlier 2007 version is not what I’d like to call “truly innovative”. There are some applications that are specifically touch sensitive, but almost all programs are driven by the human touch. The Touch Smart Series of HP might  [...]

Review Of The Averatec D1133 All-In-One

thumbnail
Low Price and compromisable performance- if this is alright with you, the D1133 is the best for you. Maybe if you are a hobbyist computer user who uses it only occasionally, you can go for this. Though slower as per computer benchmarks, if you compare the D1133 to other Nettops which use Intel’s Atom chip you’ll find that it is faster owing to the AMD Athlon X2 CPU. The screen is however smaller than that of a recent Lenovo version. A self contained computer, it’s not as robust as the budget desktops in its performance. In design the D1133 resembles the D1100.The flexible LCD display can be adjusted for your comfort. You can even tilt it to a horizontal position so that it’s parallel to your tabletop. Well, at present such flexibility without a touch screen doesn’t seem to be of much benefit.  But the LCD is too good for the given price! You might say that the Lenovo  C300 Screen, being 20 inches,  is bigger, but do you know that the resolution of the Lenovo Nettop is only  [...]
