thumbnail
Despite the strongly burning rumors in the market that Google is developing Chrome OS for tablets, Google has reported that they at present are concentrating only on notebooks, and will continue that for sometime more in the near future. Google also has raised some eyebrows last month when they made some alteration to Chrome OS’s source code. It added numerous references to tablets and touchscreen, including a brand new touch-optimized tab page. The basic idea of the Chrome Operating System tablet is not new though; Google even had made mocks of devices like this in February 2010. When asked about the future plans for the Google Chrome OS beyond the notebook, SVP of Google Chrome, Mr. Sundar Pichai said that the Chrome OS is “agnostic” for the hardware, the system runs on. Lawsuit accusing Google, Apple, amongst others for fixing wages

thumbnail
A new lawsuit has accused Pixar, Lucasfilm, Intuit, Adobe, Intel, Google, and Apple of conspiring to suppress and fix compensation of their employees. It was launched yesterday by Siddhart Hariharan, a former software engineer at Lucasfilm and it is focusing on the agreements of ‘no solicitation’ that companies in question have agreed between the year 2005 and 2009. It is claiming that the tech companies have violated the California antitrust statues but it isn’t seeking relief under U.S. Clayton Act of 1914 which is quite interesting. This assures that the case is dealing only with California law instead of the federal statues of antitrust. These accusations might sound familiar and it is because Pixar, Intuit, Intel, Google, Adobe, and Apple settled with Department of Justice last  [...]
