Samsung promises a dual core 2GHz

thumbnail
This is certainly more than just rumors; a Samsung official recently revealed that Samsung is working hard to make a smart phone based on a dual core processor which has a clock speed of two Ghz. That means each processor will be running at a speed of two GHz as opposed to two processors running at one GHz each as many might think. ARM is already having Cortex-A9 dual core design which can reach these heights and Samsung will most probably use this processor for their cell phone. It is also said that Samsung will be trying to sell these chips separately so you don’t have to stick with Samsung branded handset if you want the faster processor. It will be interesting to see what the fast processor can do. We think that with such speeds, this cell phone will be as fast as a desktop computer and you get this speed right in the palm of your hand. We will applaud the manufacturer if it manages to have the same battery life as other standard smart phones.  [...]

Harman Kardon SB 16 – Good performance

thumbnail
Harman Kardon SB 16 is a sound bar having excellent sound quality. The design is much better than other sound bars in the market and it made a really good impression when I first saw it in my labs. This device has controls on the unit itself; there are buttons for switching the source, volume control and power. This means that if you have lost the remote control, you can still use the sound bar. There aren’t any calibration setting requirements here but you do get adjustments for sound tuning. There is a ‘Trim’ switch which sets input sensitivity in 3 steps. Out of the box, the system comes with Trim at ‘1’ and the sound wasn’t loud enough even when the volume was maxed out. The maximum limit was increased when I switched to the second Trim. The sound bar also comes with ‘Wall-Table’ EQ which tunes the tonal balance of the speaker for table or wall mounting. On the rear panel, the Harman Kardon SB 16  [...]

thumbnail
Apple reportedly is working hard to sync iTunes with iPods wirelessly, and this is their just another attempt to develop a wireless world. According to our reliable insiders, Apple’s CEO, Steve Jobs is working frantically to develop the next generation iPod’s which will be capable of such syncing. If and when this next generation of iPods enters the market, they will make the USB cable archaic. Instead of using Apple’s iconic thirty pin connector for transferring movies, applications and music, these iPods will automatically sync whenever the users are connected to their Wi-Fi network. While it might sound tempting, Apple actually has to face more than a few problems to make all this happen. The biggest problem is regarding the strength and reliability of signal strength for wireless syncing, the second major problem being the fact that such wireless syncing can be a drain on battery life. For addressing all these issues, the most  [...]
