Mozilla has unveiled their first round plans for developing a Mobile OS. The company will be using their Gecko engine, which drives the Mozilla Firefox and will be transforming it into an operating system, which will run on tablets and mobiles. A Mozilla researcher writes that it’s temporarily known as Boot to Gecko, and that the source code of it will be launched for the developers simultaneously. The Gecko, which we have mentioned here, is an interpretation engine, which as for now powers Mozilla’s e-mail Thunderbird and their browser Firefox. As oppose to it, though the Android OS of Google is an open source operating system, but the starting development work of the OS was not available for developers and common people till Google didn’t permitted its publication, which was couple of months after the official launch of the OS.

If we have to name the most omnipresent add-on for one of the most prominent open source browser, Firefox, it will be Google Toolbar, and there is no denying the fact. Apple already has caused a lot of eagerness and frenzy with their long-deferred white iPhone 4, and now the rumors are coming in that the company will also be offering a white iPod touch, when the 5th generation MP3 player will be launched in the market. Ok, we agree that the image here is not all that clear, but the body of the phone, its noticeably jarring rear cover, and somewhat inverted base are blabbermouth signs of Samsung’s Galaxy S II model. This image is one of the images that show Sprint marking on the handset. The image of the handset also clearly displays the 8 megapixel camera of the handset, which also is a major highlight for the Samsung Galaxy S II. Apple was expected to launch their alleged refurbished flagship MacBook Air ultra-portable notebooks in the Apple stores on 15th of July, 2011 i.e. today. But according to an insider that doesn’t seem to happen till tomorrow. As a matter of fact the rumors linking the launch suggest that the launch of the ultra-portables has been delayed by one week.
