Samsung Releases Galaxy Tab 8.9 Tablet and Couple of Media Players
Samsung gave the first look of their brand fresh8.9 in Samsung Galaxy Tab that has Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system of Google. The 8.9-inch Galaxy Tab will enter the market on October 2nd. But that’s not all that Samsung unveiled, the company also unveiled a couple of fresh media players, the Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 and Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0.

The 8.9 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 will be a Wi-Fi only tablet and will be available in two versions a 32GB variant priced at $569 and a 16 GB tablet priced at $469. The newly launched media player Galaxy Player 4.0 will cost around $269 and the Galaxy Player will cost around $229, and both the media players will be entering the US market on 16th of October, 2011.
The tablet was kept for pre-orders at www.samsung.com on Monday, though the media players were offered for pre-orders from Tuesday.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 joins the 10.1 Galaxy Tab in Samsung’s lineup of tablets. Just as the bigger devices, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is also rather thin measuring 8.6 mms only and has a light, transferable design which easily weighs below a pound.
