Well for all the Chrome fans… Google has announced the launch of the Chrome Version 3.0. Frankly there ain’t any point getting into the number game because that doesn’t mean that Google has got any more mature than it already is, it’s probably just Google’s way of emphasizing its news features.

However, most of the users wouldn’t even notice the change in the version because Google automatically updates the browser. Though most of us would agree that its one of the fastest browsers available today, with the Chrome 3.0 its performance has improved more with Google claiming to improve the Javascripts by about 150% since the launch of the original Beta version.

Following Microsoft, Chrome supports themes as well now. So you could change the themes everyday by selecting from one of the 28 available themes. Also continuing with the visual tweaks, the new tab section can be easily customized now and has also got a nice sleek look.

This one also supports HTML 5 video and audio tags which means that the user can now easily embed videos without having to download plugins like the Adobe flash player. With around 3505 bugfixes since the beta release it looks like Chrome is surely trying to be the best browser around or may be with this one it already is…

21st of September is the day when Music is going to change forever. No no, I aint trying to be dramatic here… that’s just what the Sony Ericsson website has to say. Well the website has surely sent music lovers into a state of trance and we here are Techsoft are trying to explicitly figure out what Sony Ericsson wants to say with “Change music forever”.

The buzz doing the rounds is that this could be the first touchscreen walkman or probably even the Android powered Rachael. But the possibility of it being the first one seems to be more likely because it says “ Change music forever “.

Sony has already branded it as the “new ground breaking technology”. Its surely got all the techies and the music lovers excited but all I could hope for is that this isn’t another launch gimmick for some other music accessory. LOL. With all the hype being created around it if this one turns to be a music accessory then it would seriously be a big blooper.

Going by the facts… internet tablets have never really taken the market by a storm ever. But still Archos is launching not 1 but 2 internet tablets of which the Archos 5 is going to be in the limelight tomorrow.

The movie and music playing features of this one are as same as the Archos Media player but is based on the Google Android version of Linux which is quite commonly found in the mobile phones. Its loaded with a 5 inch touchscreen display. Also at a thickness of 1 cm this one could easily be termed ultrathin. This one goes foor sale on amazon from tomorrow and ranges between £199.99 to £369.99.

The other internet tablet being launched by Archos is the 9PCTablet and would be out in the market by 22nd October. Actually Archos is waiting for the official launch of the Windows 7 to release this one. This one is going to have a 9 inch screen touchscreen Intel Atom Z510 processor, 80GB hard disk, and built-in DVBT TV. However irrespective of when it is going to be launched this is surely going to be compared to the Apple TV and is priced at €450-€500. What this has in store is that it can double up as a portable TV set as well as entertainment TV.

I guess we ll actually have to wait for the launch to see this one in action.

Close to the pompous launch of the HTC Mega, comes in news about the much awaited WinMo device from the Taiwanese manufactures the LEO. It’s probably time now to for the LEO to get its launch treatment.

However no official date has been let out as yet, there are a few images of the LEO which we could lay our hands on. And going by the looks of it… boy, this one is surely something. With the brilliant specs and set of features this one surely could send any gadget freak wagging his tongue for more. This one has got a 480×800 pixel resolution display along with a 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and an impressive 320MB RAM. For the operating system it has the Windows Mobile 6.5 which according to experts is more user friendly as compared to the 6.1. What is surprising here is the absence of a physical QWERTY keyboard.

If the leaked pictures are anything to go by, then this one is surely going to be the show stealer. Plus at the back of this there is an inscription of HTC TouchPro 3 which means that the LEO is the successor of the HTC TouchPro 2 in the making.

I had mentioned earlier during the review, that this one could definitely do with some firmware upgrades, looks like the makers at High Tech Computers are listening with intent ears. HTC has announced the launch of a new firmware upgrade which claims to solve most of the problems that the Hero bought along wit it.

Though the HTC hero was loaded with the brilliant Sense UI it did face some lags during functioning which was one of the major glitches because of which it was almost written off by most critics in comparision to the iPhone.

The upgrades have already been launched in Denmark, Sweden and Norway and have received some really good reviews, with most of the users being content with the speed upgrades and the camera software upgrades.

HTC has also confirmed the UK launch will take place sometime in the near future, however it hasn’t provided us with any exact date as such. Also the people at HTC refused to let us have a peep at what other tid bits the upgrade has to offer.

Zune HD which is going to be launched on September 15th will be an only U.S release. According to insiders from Microsoft, there are no plans to launch the Zune anywhere outside the U.S. The launch is going to be stateside atleast for the time being. There are also plans to launch the Zune video, a video download software in around 18 markets.

Even when the Zune HD was not even named there were rumours that the new hardware would be international. But looking at the way things are taking shape at the moment, that seems unlikely. For those with a strong memory the older zune didn’t see a launch beyond Canada which took place almost two years after its launch in the U.S.

Well, the only reason I see behind this is that probably the people at Microsoft want to test the Zune on a small ground and then take the launch ahead if it is successful. Well all I hope is that this one does well, and we get to see an overseas launch soon.

Finally High Tech Computer (HTC) has announced the launch of its latest baby “HTC: Tattoo”. Funky name I say, but then again like always HTC does have enough reason to christen it by that name. This one is touted to be the first customizable Android Phone. By customizable, I mean that the user can design the skin for his phone. Obviously everyone would love to have a phone which is especially designed for them and I would like to applaud HTC for having made this possible.

This one is the fourth Android phone being launched by HTC. Apart from being an Android phone this one is equipped with the same brilliant Sense UI which made many gadget freak go crazy over the HTC Hero. This handset supports 3G along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and it comes loaded with a 2.8 inch touchscreen display, FM radio, audio jack, 3.2 megapixel camera. And obviously being an Android phone it supports a lot of google applications.

HTC has started promoting this one as the Android phone for all, and if what it claims is true then possibly this one should be priced at around $100 or less.
